Top Building Award for Foxglove Homes

Top Building Award for Foxglove Homes

Foxglove Homes has beaten national competition to claim the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Building Excellence award for Best Large Volume Housing Development, Yorkshire.

Foxglove Homes Ltd, a small, family-run housebuilding and property company scooped the coveted accolade for its scheme 65 home scheme ‘Cavendish Meadows’ at Market Weighton, York, which has now also been nominated for a prestigious national award.

Tom Young, a Foxglove Homes founding partner said: “Foxglove Homes was conceived to fill what we identified as a significant gap in the new build housing market for quality homes with personality. We simply did not want to build uniform-looking houses on developments that look and feel the same as what everyone else is building. We held a strong belief that high volume projects can be achieved without comprising personality or quality. Our pledge has always been to provide our buyers with something different and more home for their money and the result is a more luxurious and aesthetically pleasing alternative that remains competitively priced.

“Being successful against some of the well-known and very well-established national housebuilding brands to receive this award is an immense achievement. We are absolutely delighted with this recognition and would like to thank our delivery team for their efforts in making our vision for Foxglove Homes and Cavendish Meadows a reality”.

The LABC awards focus on the very best in technical innovation and construction quality, helping to raise the level of construction quality across England and Wales. Employing creative solutions to improve sustainability and energy efficiency and cooperative teamwork are examples of the criteria the LABC use to choose which regional winners go on to win or earn a high commendation at the national award ceremony.
